Vasotoxic Effects of Anticancer Therapy: a Review of Current Data

Cardiovascular and oncological diseases are the leading causes of adult death in world. Despite proven efficacy, anticancer drugs can cause severe cardiovascular complications. Recently, data have appeared on possible vasotoxic effects chemotherapy drugs, which manifest themselves as progression arterial hypertension atherosclerosis, development myocardial ischemia acute coronary syndrome, formation venous thrombosis. The key mechanism for vasotoxicity is endothelial dysfunction, also affect processes review presents results 12 selected observational retro- prospective studies involving cancer patients receiving presumably therapy. Data frequency occurrence possibilities prevention presented.
